Planning A Jacksonville Christmas Party For The Wedding Vendors
Wedding vendors spend the whole year creating beautiful parties for other people, but we don’t exactly get a traditional work Christmas party. So I teamed up with Felicia of Luxury Point Studio to create a holiday soirée that gave Jacksonville creatives a night to dress up, sit down (for once!), and actually enjoy the kind of event they’re usually working behind the scenes.
A Very Merry Vendor Christmas Soirée brought together an amazing vendor team for Christmas-style cocktails, great food, candlelit tables, and all the festive drama Luxury Point Studio’s big white space could handle. And in true Christmas fashion, we made sure the whole night was about giving back. A portion of every ticket sold went to V for Victory, and guests brought LEGO Christmas gifts for children fighting cancer.

Designing A Fun, Elevated Christmas Party
The whole night started with a long red carpet entrance, because obviously the vendors deserved a moment too. Luxury Point Studio’s big white open space made the perfect backdrop for all the red, candlelit, Christmas drama. Guests walked into draped ceilings, floral installations, Christmas arches, huge disco balls, and long red linen dining tables ready for a beautiful dinner.

Why Client Appreciation Dinners Are A Great Idea & Why This One Was Different
Throwing vendor and client appreciation dinners is always a good idea. They're a fun, strategic way to keep you in sight and in mind with past clients, while getting exposed to new potential clients who come as plus-one's. (And yes, our client appreciation dinners always drum up new business for people!)
But this event was different. This soirée was really about getting to love on some of our favorite creatives in town. The people who spend their weekends making everyone else’s events beautiful got to sit down, eat, drink, laugh, take photos, and have their own night out.
Everyone showed up dressed to impress, ate good food, grabbed Christmas-style cocktails, and got to actually enjoy a party instead of working behind the scenes. One of my favorite spaces was the sitting area with a gorgeous mirror and red floral installation wrapping around it, because of course we needed a photo moment. And then Mrs. Claus showed up as a fire dancer, because obviously understated was never part of the plan.
On a personal note, I was very pregnant at the time. So as much as I loved the party, looking back at these photos feels extra special. Look at that bump! Felicia and I coordinated in red dresses, looked fabulous, and had one of those nights that reminded me why Jacksonville's vendor community is so special.
