A Stress-Free Baby Shower at Josephine's Restaurant

Josephine’s was the perfect spot for Emily and Rayshawn Jenkins’ baby shower. The vision was stylish, playful, has great food, and was completely hands-off for the guests of honor. Emily’s best friend, Alex, hired us as the host because she knew Emily was feeling overwhelmed between her busy schedule, raising two little ones already, and balancing Rayshawn's NFL career. Alex is a wedding officiant we’ve worked with before, and she wanted someone she trusted to take the whole thing off her bestie's plate. (Now, that's my kind of BFF!)

Emily and Rayshawn wanted a low-key celebration - they wanted to just show up, enjoy their people, and be surprised with a few fun personal touches along the way. They trusted me completely, and I got to give them a fun baby shower with zero stress!

Moody Florals, Baby Games, And A Cocktail-Party Themed Baby Shower

This baby shower was so fun to create because every detail could be playful without losing the style. We planned it, designed it, and we brought in the florals and rentals to make the whole room feel intentional. The tablescape was one of my favorite parts. One long table filled the space with moody flowers, fruit, candles, and that perfect cocktail-party energy.

The guest details were just as fun. I found this cute "Football with Dad" book that was too precious. We set it up at the entrance and had everyone sign it with little messages for the baby. They played a blind baby food taste test. Then they went all in on the bottle chug relay. And yes, the dirty martini tower absolutely understood the assignment.

Did We forget to mention it was also someone's birthday?!

We brought in a funky green cake for the shower to match the Dirty Martini theme. But a little birdie let it slip that it was going to be Rayshawn's birthday, so you know we couldn't let Dad off without getting a moment to celebrate his own big day.

We had Mom approve a surprise red velvet birthday cake. You should have seen his face! He never suspected to receive his own cudos. Emily was thrilled at the chance to do this for him, and I'm so glad we got to make that moment happen for them!
